The Mongolian Public Health Professionals' Association held their First Annual Mongolian Public Health Conference on December 8th 2011. This conference was very successful, with around 100 people attending and approximately forty presentations. The Mongolian Public Health Professionals’ Association (MPHPA) was established in 2001, and formally registered in 2002, in support of Mongolia’s efforts to reorient its health system towards primary health care and public health.  MPHPA seeks to address neglected public health issues by comprehensively influencing practice, training, research and policy.

MPHPA has over 100 members, all of whom are actively working in a variety of public health fields in Mongolia.  Its members are highly qualified with many having completed postgraduate public health training in Mongolia and at overseas institutions.

MPHPA strongly encourages membership applications from non-health professionals, such as journalists, lawyers, economists, engineers and environmentalists, with an active interest in public health issues.
